back Janice Twenty years ago I found myself a new widow, and my now-husband David found himself divorced.  We had been friends for years and began spending time together.  One weekend in April of 1990 he called and said he thought it was time for us to have a really special night out.  I was excited when we arrived at The Brown Bottle in Cedar Falls as I loved their Lasagna. We were seated at a window overlooking a patio and lush green lawn.  To my surprise there was more than Lasagna on the menu! We became engaged that evening.  June 17, 1990 we were married at a little country church in Beaman, Iowa. We return almost every year to celebrate our anniversary. This year was a special twenty year anniversary and again we were thrilled that The Brown Bottle was just as inviting as always.  We were escorted to our table and wouldn't you know it, it was the same table we sat at those twenty years before.  In this world of changing times, it is so nice to find that some things stay the same and you can count on them.  Thank you Brown Bottle for being part of our love story.
